There’s no denying JACQUEMUS is one of the fav brands of Millennial and Gen Z demographics, and its meteoric rise in the fashion landscape isn’t just the fashion, but can also be attributed to its brilliant communication and marketing which resonates effortlessly with the global fanbase, also across The Big Pond. It’s in New York City where the Paris-based brand has just inaugurated its a standalone boutique, in one of the city’s most coveted shopping grounds. Situated in SoHo, on the corner of Spring Street and Wooster Street, the store occupies 270 sqm. (2,906 sq.ft.) set across two floors of a Federal-style house built in 1818 with a brick façade and side covered in wooden planking which is in stark contrast with the contemporary interior design of acclaimed Dutch architecture practice OMA.

The chosen aesthetic of the store interior blends the Provence roots of JACQUEMUS with contemporary French flair, and sees Pierre de Bourgogne limestone flooring paired with walls and fixtures in a similarly neutral hue. A terrace-shaped display unit aligns beautifully with the staircase leading to the upper floor, and which features elegantly curved artisanal railing. Playful pops of colour are delivered by specific elements, such as the light blue sofas and yellow fitting room curtains. Further heightening the French flair are cherry-picked design pieces, such as chairs by Frank Lloyd Wright and Jean Royère, and art works by Wolfgang Tillmans and Joan Miró. The new JACQUEMUS store carries the brand’s full range of women’s and men’s apparel, accessories, bags and shoes. © superfuture
