Since its inception in 2002 by entrepreneurial siblings Giada and Paolo Forte, women’s brand forte_forte has gone from strength to strength, gaining a growing following in Italy and far beyond its borders. the company’s headquarters are situated just north of Vicenza, right in the heart of the country’s renowned textile industry. Following investment fund Style Capital‘s purchase of the brand last year, its operations have newly expanded to retail, seeing the doors of the very first forte_forte flagship store open in Milan‘s storied Brera district. The interior designs of the retail space, created by Giada Forte and Robert Vattilana, her husband and the brand’s communications director, aims to reflect the Mediterranean style and elegance of its collections. The atmosphere is warm and homey, featuring travertine-clad walls paired with floor tiles speckled with coloured glass fragments. Furnishings and fixtures comprise of a sales counter in travertine, artsy brass clothing racks and cabinets, and matching light fixtures. Further boosting the store’s distinct aesthetic are a number of carefully selected artworks and objects, such as a drawing by Didier Mahieu and an Aldo Londi vase. The fitting rooms with their pink velvet upholstered walls, aren’t just functional, but also offer an intimate retreat. The new forte_forte store carries the brand’s full range of women’s apparel and accessories. A second retail space is scheduled to open in Paris later this year.
