The newest property of Trailborn, a boutique hotel chain with lodgings in iconic rural locations stateside, has opened its doors in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Situated on the edge of Highlands, the hotel features an interior design created in collaboration with design practice LOVEISENOUGH. Featuring only 63 rooms, the hotel’s various settings ooze homey comfort and sophisticated style, offering even the most discerning urbanite an ideal getaway in the countryside. Upon entering the premises, guests find themselves in a spacious lobby with a fireplace which instantly evoke a sense of welcome. The guest rooms come in no less than eight different categories, each one elegantly appointed, featuring a wide range of amenities, and with either a balcony, a patio, or even a private outdoor seating area.
Meeting the requirements of today’s savvy traveller, the range includes complimentary high-speed WiFi, a 4K Smart TV with screen casting, fluffy robes by Parachute, air-conditioning and heating, a Tivoli Audio bluetooth audio speaker, and last but not least, Growing Alchemist bath products. Adding to Trailborn Highlands‘ relaxing allure are a number of charming facilities, such as a retail marketplace which offers a curated mix of branded merchandise and locally-sourced snacks, a cozy lounge where to sit back and relax, or mingle, and later this year, there’ll be the Highlands Supper Club, the hotel’s very own restaurant. Situated in a separate wooden building, the establishment will feature a supper and brunch menu with Southern-inspired fare in a reimagined historic log cabin. Also available soon on the premises is the Nordic Spa, which will get you back on your feet faster after your mountain hike. And that’s not all.
