Japanese retailer BEAMS has once again crossed the Pacific to set up shop stateside, albeit temporarily. We’re talking the BEAMS+ pop-up store in Los Angeles which has just opened its doors. In 2019, BEAMS launched a series of pop-up stores on the premises of select Nordstrom department stores on the U.S. West Coast and Canada, an event we’ve covered in a previous post, but this time, they’re going it alone. The ephemeral retail space is dedicated entirely to its eponymous men’s leisurewear line, and the opening coincides with the 25th anniversary of the BEAMS+ line. The pop-up store occupies a ground floor unit on the premises of an industrial complex in the city’s revived Arts District. Officially dubbed BEAMS+ Limited Store, the retail space uses the building’s raw backdrop as a canvas for a series of settings furnished with both custom-made and carefully sourced vintage props, rugs and potted plants which ooze a welcoming homey vibe. The newly opened BEAMS+ Limites Store stocks a wide selection of men’s apparel, accessories and shoes (open through Dec 24). © superfuture
