Founded in 2016 by Lautaro Rodriguez and Ramiro Giri, two ballsy teens from Buenos Aires, men’s fashion brand FRÈRES has since gone leaps and bounds. Although respectively trained as an economist and in finance, the duo set out to build their menswear brand, and successfully so. Following a standalone store in the city’s Retiro district, a second retail space has opened a little while ago in the tony Palermo area of town. Occupying 75 sqm. (807 sq.ft.) spread over two levels on the premises of a low-rise residential building, the FRÈRES store features an interior design by local architecture practice BALI STUDIO. Interestingly, the settings pair existing architectural elements with modern and a tad futuristic interventions. The ground floor is all about retail, and sees a metal sales counter with matching stacked display, fitting rooms, and in a separate section below a steel construction which supports the mezzanine floor, a suspended display area which presents the FRÈRES apparel, accessories and shoes. A sturdy steel staircase leads to the upper level which has been concepted as an experiential space, featuring a homey seating area with a screening facility, an exhibition space and a lounge. © superfuture
