Launched in 2019 by Luca Pronzato, originally a sommelier by trade, but also an adventurous hospitality entrepreneur, WE ARE ONA is an evolving dining concept which aims to gather a community of food creatives around unique and contemporary experiences. The concept spawns from the traditional fine dining scene, but has a forward focus, exploring innovative ways to creating extraordinary dining experiences for its guests. As such, WE ARE ONA has already staged a number of pop-up restaurants in the most unique settings across the planet, lasting one week to six months, across the planet. The past locations include Los Angeles, Paris, Arles, Milan, Venice, and now, in sync with Frieze New York and other contemporary art fairs, in New York City. Opening today at the WSA Building in the city’s Financial District, the pop-up restaurant is perched on the 28th floor, and as such, comes with sweeping city views.

The design-led setting is created by Pronzato in collaboration with designer Harry Nuriev of design practice Crosby Studios. Occupying an entire floor, empty and gutted, revealing its raw concrete shell and utility pipes as a backdrop for an elongated table clad in silver with matching custom-made inox seats, all inspired by the virtual world, while in the back, housed in a pavilion-like structure, a service station can be found. The WE ARE ONA pop-up restaurant seats 60 guests. The menu is imagined by chef Mory Sacko of Michelin-starred restaurant Mosuke in Paris, and lists both lunch (6 courses / USD 150 per person excl. drinks) and dinner (8 courses / USD 220 per person excl. drinks). A beverage selection has been curated by Pronzato and fellow sommelier Iris Godec (open through May 17). So, if you fancy a high-level bite (pun intended), click right here to make a reservation.
