Since little over three years, CELINE‘s masterfully concepted bourgeois chic style also boasts an olfactory equivalent which seamlessly matches its sophisticated silhouettes. Following last year’s pop-up store, the Parisian fashion house has inaugurated a shop-in-shop dedicated to its coveted fragrances at Le Bon Marché, one of the French capital’s iconic department stores and undisputed shopping epicentre of its bourgeois chic demographic. Situated on the store’s ground floor beauty department, the design of the shop-in-shop obviously features the brand’s design codes as laid down at its newly opened, lavish flagship store on rue St.-Honoré, albeit adapted to its more modest dimensions, and also, featuring sight-specific tweaks. The focal point is a dazzling tiered perfume display with a mirror backdrop, crowned by gold cross-beams bearing the name CELINE, and supported by columns clad in light oak. In another stark contrast, the very base is captured by opulent black and white marble, as are two display cabinets situated right across. Elegant stools, crafted from lacquered timber, add a warm accent to the setting. The splendorous new CELINE shop-in-shop carries the brand’s full Haute Parfumerie collection, in addition to scented candles and a series of Maison Celine objects, all designed by Slimane, such as tortoise shell combs, vanity sets and perfume cases. And that’s not all. Pre-launching here are collector pieces conceived as an ultra-limited series, including cotton jars in faceted metal, as well as four sprays panelled in exotic skins.
