The Bavarian capital has gained a dose of Parisian sophistication with the arrival of Officine Universelle Buly‘s newest outpost. Nestled in the cluster of buildings that form Hotel Bayerischer Hof, arguably the swankiest lodgings in the historic heart of Munich, the boutique features an interior design by co-founder Ramdane Touhami and the brand’s affiliated Paris-based design practice Art Recherche Industrie. The meticulously designed setting is intimate and grand at the same time, featuring walls lined in custom display cabinets and shelving in lacquered dark mahogany with a backdrop in celadon green and matching marble countertop. A matching counter with a glass-encased display on top sits below pendant lamps. Similar to most Officine Universelle Buly stores, the newest retail space oozes the allure of a traditional apothecary, albeit one stocked with highly coveted offerings. And speaking of which, the boutique carries a curated selection of the brand’s fragrances, cosmetics, scented candles, and personal grooming tools.
