Launched late last year, is the latest upscale shopping centre to cater to Shanghai‘s most discerning shoppers. Situated alongside Huangpu river, the venue features 120,000 sqm. (1,291,669 sq.ft.) retail space spread across an entire block of low-rise buildings with a park and interlaced lanes. It’s here, where Swedish women’s brand TOTEME has made its Asian retail debut with a standalone boutique. Occupying a ground floor unit amidst shops of alluring names from fashion’s upper echelon, the store features an interior design by Stockholm-based architect and longtime collaborator Christian Halleröd. The interior design features the brand’s understated design codes with slight Art Deco references, in addition to an infusion of marble and marbled surfaces. Swedish design brand Svenskt Tenn created a series of custom furnishings for the retail space. The new TOTEME boutique stocks the brand’s full range of understated apparel, accessories, bags, shoes and eyewear.
