Louis Vuitton‘s second LV x NBA capsule collection is released today in Japan and around the planet, and in celebration of the event a new pop-up store has opened on the premises of the luxury brand’s men’s boutique at Miyashita Park in Tokyo. The store’s usual façade of twisted metal and glass in a Damier pattern has been tweaked and overlaid with large LOUIS lettering in red, blue, and white, just like it’s being used in the NBA logo, but also interpreted with the font that’s used in the NBA logo. An oversized basketball with a three-meter diameter is situated right at the entrance, firmly anchoring the design of the pop-up store. Within the pop-up space, the sheet is embossed like a real ball texture and applied to the entire area. The drawn curves on the walls and floor are obviously inspired by the lines on the basketball. The setting is also furnished with props such as lockers, ball racks, bench chairs, and basketball goals which all add to a basketball court atmosphere.
