As part of the string of influential Toga boutiques in Tokyo, Osaka and Kanazawa, the Toga XTC Harajuku branch shares the inevitable cult appeal that comes with it. Occupying a raw warehouse space and an adjacent garage, the retail space features the brand’s very own men’s and women’s forward designs next to a range of curated vintage apparel. Needless to say, both the setting and merchandise pull hordes of fashion pros and fashionistas to its doorstep, and it’s one of their preferred shopping destinations in town. It’s in this setting where on Fri – Oct 19 cult photographer Yume Ippei‘s exhibition Dreams and Days will open. The one-week showcase provides an insight in Ippei’s highly eclectic work and vision, featuring photographs taken from his shoots for the Toga SNS label and a wide variety of snapshots of everyday life.
