Antwerp-based fashion house Dries Van Noten has taken over Selfridges in London with a major showcase entitled Dancing Drapes. The power presentation transforms no less than 14 street-level windows into captivating dreamscapes, blending artistry and innovation in choreographed wind installations. Created by multi-disciplinary creative studio 1KG, the hybrid patterns and fabrics of Dries Van Noten’s latest collection are the focal point, brought to life as oversized, weightless forms that ripple with invisible air currents. This kinetic display captures the essence of movement, texture, and light, celebrating the fluidity of Dries Van Noten‘s modern luxury. Additionally, three of the windows will be dedicated to beauty, showcasing the brand’s best-selling fragrances—Soie Malaquais, Rock the Myrrh, and Camomille Satin, each one representing the house’s unique blend of sophistication and innovation. The installation invites passersby to stop, observe, and immerse themselves in its dynamic interplay of motion and design. Through these living tableaux, Dries Van Noten challenges convention, presenting a bold redefinition of style that moves, evolves, and captivates (on through Feb 24). Coinciding with the window installation is the inauguration of Dries Van Noten‘s new corner at the iconic department store. © superfuture
