Following last year’s opening of ROOST Baltimore, a new benchmark of the redevelopment of this harbour side area of Baltimore, the property has gained additional allure with the recent inauguration of Vessel. Situated on the ground floor, the bar and lounge is a collaborative effort of Method Studios, the in-house design firm of ROOST Baltimore‘s owner Method Co., and local interior design practice Aumen Asner. Unsurprisingly, given its location smack on Patapsco River, the venue’s aesthetic blends a contemporary aesthetic with classic elements, evoking vintage maritime details. The palette of materials includes high-lacquered mahogany wood, which is reminiscent of vintage boat interiors, and also porthole motifs, and subtle collegiate touches creating a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.

When weather permits, a sun terrace with outdoor seating is readily available, and this section of Vessel comes with a bar, a pool table, outdoor cabanas, and obviously, sweeping views of the river. The menu at Vessel aligns with the design theme and lists dishes inspired by many ports from across the planet, featuring flavours from around the Mediterranean, Asia and the U.S. East Coast. The beverage programme complements these offerings with a selection of tiki cocktails, including well-known classics such as the Painkiller and Mai Tai, as well as original concoctions. Additionally, guests can indulge in a curated wine list, local craft beers, and a full bar offering a wide range of other beverages. © superfuture
