Following store openings in a string of cool capitals across Western Europe, it was only a matter of time before Solebox would open up shop in Paris. The leading Berlin-based sneaker depository has secured a spacious unit on the ground floor of a six-storey residential structure built in 1840 in the French capital’s St.-Honoré neighbourhood. Designed by German design practice Metrofarm, the chosen aesthetic takes cues from classic Parisian brasseries, albeit interpreted in a playful modern way. The store façade is captured by moulded woodwork dipped in a bight yellow hue which stands out from the urban surroundings. Inside, light-coloured terrazzo flooring and wooden wall panels form the backdrop for furnishings with similar mouldings and brass and stone elements throughout the premises. What unique to this store is a café on the premises, the very first of all Solebox outposts. And yes, it comes with an outdoor terrace. The new Solebox store carries the retailer’s full range of tightly curated sneakers, apparel and accessories. © superfuture
