In just one year, cult running shoe brand On has inaugurated a second, more prestigious store in Paris. The Swiss company is pitching in on the buzz surrounding the revival of avenue des Champs-Elysées by securing a spacious 1,513 sqm. (16,286 sq.ft.) retail space, its largest worldwide. Interestingly, Nike was the previous tenant of the space. Spread across three levels of a six-storey structure with an ornate façade built in 1900, the store sees an interior design created by On‘s in-house design team at home base Zurich. Similar to its other retail spaces across the planet, the chosen aesthetic is industrial and functional, featuring a backdrop of stone-clad walls and light panels, paired with concrete flooring.

The range of furnishings include displays and counters in matching concrete and shelving units in stainless steel. The lofty ground floor presents On‘s newest tennis and training merchandise, including the items created in collaboration with tennis legend Roger Federer who also happens to be a minority shareholder of the brand. The store’s basement section showcases On‘s full range of running shoe models, in addition to bags and accessories. On the top floor, shoppers can indulge in the brand’s lifestyle product range, including apparel, shoes and accessories, which has increasingly become important for the brand. © superfuture
