Since its inception in 1858, Boucheron has been synonymous to exquisitely crafted jewellery with precious stones. The history of the jewellery house sees a string of highlights, and obviously, that includes the creation of both coveted one-off pieces and collections. It has been 20 years since Boucheron launched its Quatre ring, a design captured by intricately layered precious metals and stones, and in a style that straddles the realms of tradition and modernity. In celebration of the ring’s 20th anniversary, Boucheron has inaugurated the QUATRE is 20 pop-up store in the buzzing Marais district of the French capital. It’s the first of three other ephemeral retail spaces which will open across the planet in the next few months, and occupies a ground floor unit of a five-storey residential structure built in 1930. The interior design of the QUATRE is 20 pop-up store, created by Paris-based creative agency Aimko, draws ample cues from the Quatre collection. Divided into separate areas, visitors can explore the identity and evolution of the collection upon entering the pop-up store.
Engaging and also interactive, the set-up even allows to try on rings by way of nifty digital technology, all under the watchful eyes of Anya Rubik, a veteran top model and star of the 20th anniversary campaign. And while the focus at QUATRE is 20 is on one’s hands, why not have them groomed to perfection at the adjoining nail bar? Designed in collaboration with next-generation nail salon and brand Manucurist, it offers free, by-appointment-only services, including nail polish application, nail stickers, and flash tattoos. So, now your hands look their best, the real fun begins, and you’ll be able to try on both new and classic pieces from the Quatre collection. An anniversary wouldn’t be festive without a surprise, right? Well, Boucheron has hidden a golden ticket in four nail art kits on sale in the pop-up store, and the lucky buyer wins, yes indeed, a coveted Quatre ring (open through Mar 17). Not in Paris?
