Since luxury behemoth LVMH snapped up Tiffany & Co., the illustrious jewellery brand has seen a dramatic shake-up, resulting not only in a different marketing strategy and bold celebrity-infused advertising, but also lavishly revamped retail spaces. In the latter category, the luxury brand’s new benchmark obviously is The Landmark, its iconic, redesigned and expanded global flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. The interior design, created by acclaimed American architect Peter Marino, is duplicated in an increasing number of Tiffany & Co. retail spaces across the planet, including its renewed shop-in-shop at de Bijenkorf, Amsterdam‘s luxury department store. Beyond the marble-framed entrance, a splendorous space unfolds, albeit in a subtle and sophisticated manner.

Stuccoed walls and sections covered in textured wallpaper form the backdrop of elegant display counters, crafted from shiny brass and crowned with glass tops. Situated in both rooms, they’re paired with stainless steel stools, subtly referencing Tiffany & Co.‘s use of mixed metals. The Chevron parquet flooring is overlaid by specially designed carpets strewn with runes-like letters. The expansive New York City flagship store may be brimming with artworks of leading artists, here, in a much smaller space, a glittering, spiked steel-and-glass chandelier gloriously takes centre stage. A separate nook of the shop-in-shop, home to a cozy seating area, is clad with bold floral wallpaper, further adding to the artistic edge of the lavish premises. The new Tiffany & Co. shop-in-shop carries both women’s and men’s items, including rings, necklaces and bracelets.
