As Tokyo‘s leading luxury shopping centre, GINZA SIX is home to a wide array of boutiques of some of the planet’s most coveted fashion houses. The excellence isn’t limited to just the offerings, but also includes the settings of this alluring six-storey shopping destination. For this year’s festive season, GINZA SIX has gone the extra yard and teamed up with sought-after graphic artist and art director YOSHIROTTEN (1983). The Tokyo-based multitasker and his creative studio YAR created colourful light installations for two of the shopping centre’s ground floor entrances on bustling Ginza Chuo dori, but also sees the corridors to the underground station and other locations across GINZA SIX adorned with related, colour-infused graphic designs. Aptly entitled WARMEST WISHES, the two light installations comprise three-dimensional objects, one presents stacked cubes and the other sees standing rectangular shapes, that aim to capture the holiday seasons’ festive spirit and human connectivity (on through Dec 25).
