The Marcelo Miracles streetwear brand was founded in 2016 by Russian student Mark Rodovskiy and quickly gained a considerable popularity. Due to Russia‘s invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and the military draft which followed, the young designer and entrepreneur relocated later that year to Paris where he started afresh with his brand. Interestingly, the brand’s new domicile has come with a considerably raised profile in the form of a standalone store in the city’s Marais district. The store occupies a 25 sqm. (269 sq.ft.) space in the ground floor of a residential structure built in 1925, and features an interior design by design studio KIDZ. Understated, austere even, the setting sees two distinctly different zones—a retail area in the front, and behind rotating plywood partitions, an office area.

The retail area is merely furnished with two volumes of stacked concrete building blocks which serve as sneaker displays, and as they’re not fixed objects, it easily allows different configurations, such as a shelving unit or DJ rack. Additional furnishings comprise a clothing rack of black steel and two large mirror, of which one is placed in the fitting room with floor-to-ceiling curtains. Mind you, the demure palette of materials has been specifically chosen to contrast with the merchandise. The new Marcelo Miracles store stocks the brand’s full range of apparel and sneakers. The Marcelo Miracles space aims to be more than a retail and office space, offering a place where its fanbase and kindred spirits mingle and engage in cultural events. © superfuture
