London‘s cult fashion emporium LN-CC in Dalston, an edgy neighbourhood in the eastern part of town, has just reopened since its closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The much-anticipated relaunch of its operations sees a complete makeover of the expansive premises by British artist and set designer Gary Card who also created the previous interior design. Contrary to the previous setting, the LN-CC store is no longer tucked away underground, and can now be accessed on street level. The current design features six different rooms, each with a distinctly different colour and design. The entrance, aptly dubbed Tunnel, dipped in a bright orange hue, sees the former interior’s iconic tunnel repurposed, and is filled with select apparel items, books, eyewear and cosmetics. The adjacent Cobalt room features a backdrop of metallic walls, angular fixtures and furnishings in a blue, and digital display screens.

Here, streetwear brands such as ERL, Y-3, Brain Dead, Human Made and C.P. Company. The Midtarsal room with its beige undulating aesthetic is brimming with women’s trophies—designer shoes and bags, that is. The brand list includes coveted names, such as Gucci, JW Anderson, Our Legacy, Marni and Kiko Kostadinov. In the Callisto room, named after the second moon of Jupiter, a backdrop inspired by impact-formed craters showcases forward, cherry-picked womenswear, and includes brands such as Balenciaga, Rick Owens, Jil Sander, Yohji Yamamoto and The Row. The Atrium room features monolithic volumes, of which some are hollow, in lime green, presenting a curated mix of men’s and women’s apparel, shoes and bags with a streetwear edge. Last but not least, there’s L8TE, LN-CC‘s in-house club with a bespoke sound system, which, next to parties, will also be hosting brand activations and other events. © superfuture.com
