As part of its Burberry Streets campaign, which sees an evocative and hybrid series of installations and pop-up stores all over the planet, Burberry has landed in the fast-emerging Seongsu shopping district in Seoul. Dubbed Seongsu Rose, the venue is anchored by Petal Maze, an installation inspired by the English rose – a motif explored throughout creative director Daniel Lee’s first collection for Burberry. Brought to life using handcrafted sculpted shapes such as petals, stems and leaves, each element showcases the brand’s latest Winter 2023 collection. Obviously, that’s not all. Burberry‘s Seongsu Rose venue is accompanied by Seongsu Shoe and Seongsu Bottle – two satellite pop-up stores offering a curated experience of the latest shoes and hot water bottles from the Winter 2023 collection. Additionally, Seongsu Rose brings a taste of Britain to the South Korean capital as it also accommodates a pop-up of Norman’s Café, a popular diner in the north of London that’s known for its British cuisine. Decorated in the café’s signature aesthetic, it serves an all-day menu of British classics throughout the takeover. Reservations can be made online (all open through Nov 5).
