Nestled at the intersection of fashion, art and hospitality, Graanmarkt 13 has been an appealing lifestyle hub for aficionados of the finer things in life since its inception a decade ago. Ilse Cornelissens and Tim Van Geloven, the husband-and-wife team behind the hybrid concept space, are obviously masters of lifestyle—and an eclectic and continuously evolving one at that—and complement their alluring offerings with a rotation of events, collaborations and special product releases. The upcoming Wild Animals event, actually straddles all three categories. Launching in-store on Fri – Jul 24, Amsterdam-based graphic designer Rop van Mierlo will present a collection of various limited-edition goods featuring a tiger print taken from the first painting of his Wild Animals series. The Design Academy Eindhoven graduate will feature a variety of goods, ranging from apparel and duvets, to mugs and prints. Mind you, the luxurious Graanmarkt 13 apartment will even feature a handmade rug, created by the graphic designer in collaboration with the TextielMuseum in Tilburg, the very cradle of the flourishing 19th-century Dutch textile industry.
