Following endless months of renovations, Burberry‘s flagship store on London‘s highly prestigious New Bond Street has reopened its doors. Needless to say, the revamped premises are very much a design statement which signals the tenure of newly installed creative director Daniel Lee. The store measures no less than 2,044 sqm. (22,000 sq.ft.) spread across three floors of a building which will also accommodate the upcoming five-star St. Regis hotel. The thorough redevelopment also resulted in a new double-height façade. Open and airy, the all-white interior sees a series of different settings, each one dedicated to a product range of Burberry‘s extensive men’s and women’s collections.

Although largely understated, featuring compatible volumes, the flagship store sees striking elements, such as a black & white checkered floor section and matching staircase, opulent brass finishings, and ceiling graphics that mimic the iconic Burberry check which add a playful touch. Almost every store section comes with an inviting seating section where shoppers can sit back in between power shopping sprees. Also to be found on the premises is a V.I.P. area. The new Burberry flagship store sets a new retail standard for the luxury brand, and it doesn’t come as a surprise that given its stature, it stocks the brand’s full range of women’s and men’s apparel, accessories, bags, shoes, eyewear and jewellery pieces.
