Situated only an hour-and-twenty-minute car drive northeast from Seoul, the innovative Inje Speedium complex bears witness to South Korea‘s sizeable automotive industry—it’s the country’s first ever automotive cultural venue. Mind you, this place has gone the extra yard to please the avid fanbase, offering a completely new experience of time and speed. As such, Inje Speedium features a hotel inside the stadium so you can enjoy the thrilling race from the comfort of your room. Well, it’s right here where Hyundai, one of the country’s biggest industrial conglomerates and car manufacturers, has pitched in with the Hyundai N Lounge, an experiential venue which comprises, yes indeed, a lounge for visitors, but also a car maintenance space and test lab.

As its name already implies, it’s all dedicated to its Hyundai N, a car division with a focus on speed racing. Occupying a 495 sqm. (5,328 sq.ft.) space smack alongside the race track, it features an interior design by Seoul-based architecture practice Oftn Studio. The façade is dipped in Sky Blue, a shade which symbolises the Hyundai N division, and obviously, it extends inside where it’s captured by furnishings and paired with furnishings crafted from stainless steel, mesh steel and aluminium. The test lab features two car lifts, tool storage units and displays, and is separated from the lounge by retractable glass panels. The lounge, a lofty and uncluttered space, is equipped with a racing simulator and a large monitor to watch the scene of the race.
