Fun, style and banter pretty much make up the ingredients of the alluring Côte d’Azur, and needless to say, everything comes with a pedigree here, including the beach clubs. It isn’t surprising that stylemaster Thom Browne has shunned Paris to venture here to set up shop at Épi, a seaside private members beach club just south of St.-Tropez. Aptly dubbed Thom Browne Tennis Pro Shop, the retail space occupies a 500 sq.ft. (approx. 47 sqm.) unit in a cabana-like structure and features the brand’s signature office-inspired retail design codes as laid down in collaboration with Italian architecture practice ASA Studio Albanese. The entire space is dipped in a grey hue, captured by glazed tiles covering, non-glazed equivalents used as flooring, and glossy paint on the ceiling. A red, white and blue stripe, another signature design element of Thom Browne, runs from the front door all the way to the back where a tranquil outdoor garden setting can be found. The premises are dotted with a carefully curated range of mid-century furniture pieces by both American and French designers, including Jacques Adnet, Paul McCobb, Pierre Jeanerette, and Dunbar pieces designed by Edward Wormley,
