We’ve talked about the reopening of Dior‘s iconic flagship store on avenue Montaigne in a previous post, but haven’t yet mentioned the glittering exhibition space which the luxury fashion house has gifted itself. Simply dubbed La Galerie Dior, it’s situated around the corner from the flagship store, and it’s an absolute must-see for the swooning global fanbase. Here, the creative vision of couturier and perfumer Christian Dior and his successors Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and most recently, Maria Grazia Chiuri come to life. A series of captivating scenographic narratives designed by Paris-based architect Nathalie Crinière recount and symbolise the Parisian epic of haute couture, beauty and perfume. No less than thirteen themes bring to light the memory of this historic address, from monsieur Dior’s life to his passion for gardens, artistic affinities and the magic of grand balls, to the virtuoso ateliers, or Room of Wonders and conceived as a cabinet of curiosities, the distinctive Dior style of silhouettes and the exquisite bottles of Miss Dior and J’Adore fragrances.
