Prada‘s affiliation with art and design is basically a major and ongoing endeavour that’s very much part of its brand identity. Yes, there’s obviously Fondazione Prada at home base Milan and its Shanghai satellite venue Rong Zhai, but also other initiatives, such as the Prada Mode, an exclusive travelling social club with a focus on contemporary culture by way of wining and dining. Following iterations in  the global hubs of London, Miami, Hong Kong, Paris and Shanghai, the event has landed in Moscow. So, Prada Mode Moscow takes place at the Levenson Mansion, an Art Nouveau office built in 1900 by architect Fyodor Shekhtel for entrepreneur Aleksandr Levenson‘s printing company. The first two days of the event saw a slew of Prada Mode members attend an invite-only programme of meetings, lectures, parties and dinners.

The entire mansion has been transformed, featuring different settings throughout the premises which are all part of the Pharmacy installation created by British artist Damien Hirst. Mind you, the installation also includes a Pharmacy restaurant, the much-publicised dining establishment which first opened 23 years ago in London‘s Notting Hill neighbourhood. As said, the installation occupies the entire building and sees shelving and cabinets laden with an abundance of packs, jars and bottles of various medications, large swathes of walls covered in wallpaper with depictions of pills big and small, in addition to a series of paintings and various objects. Mind you, even the building’s façade has been tweaked for the occasion. Now that the exclusive programme of events is over, mortals like are able to view the installation for the next couple of days (on through Dec 11).
