Since their days at Amsterdam‘s Rietveld Academie, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin a.k.a. Inez & Vinoodh never looked back, carving a niche for themselves as one of the planet’s top photographers in the global fashion scene. The husband-and-wife team has long been known to push boundaries, incorporating quirky elements, themes, visions, and last but not least, new technology in their work which has helped to shape fashion photography and how viewers perceive it. All of the aforementioned combined often lends Inez & Vinoodh‘s creative output a distinct edge which allows it an effortless crossover to the realm of art. Following an elaborate retrospective held at FOAM almost a decade ago, the New York City-based photographers return to the Dutch capital for a major showcase at The Ravestijn Gallery. Entitled I See You In Everything, the exhibition officially opens today, and presents a selection of exemplary works from a career which spans three decades, including including photographs shot for leading publications such as Vogue Paris, New York Times Magazine, Purple and The Face (on through Oct 19).
