Thanks to Nicolas Di Felice‘s undeniably talent, the revival of Courrèges is unstoppable, and next to its much-publicised catwalk shows, its also reflected by an expanding retail presence. Following the inauguration of the brand’s first retail space in Paris, a second boutique has opened in the city’s fashionable Marais district. The store occupies a lofty 235 sqm. (2,530 sq.ft.) space on the ground floor of a residential brick structure built in 1910. For the interior design, Courrèges once again tapped Belgian architect Bernard Dubois who implemented the legacy design codes, albeit adapted to modern times, and of course, the location’s dimensions. The elongated premises has rounded corner sections entirely clad in mirrors, and comes with arched alcoves, white flooring, mirrored walls and club-inspired spotlights. Furnishings and shelving are integrated, creating a subtle sci-fi effect element that’s very much part of the brand’s DNA. The new Courrèges store carries the full range of women’s and men’s apparel, accessories, bags, shoes, eyewear and jewellery pieces. © superfuture
