For many, it’s a trip down memory lane, but as a matter of fact, Nintendo is very much alive and kicking, and very much resonating with Millennial and Gen Z demographics across the planet. Thailand is home to a sizeable and avid Nintendo fanbase, and it’s here where local distributor Synnex and retailer Copperwired have collaborated with shopping centre Siam Paragon have joined forces to open the so-called Nintendo Authorized Store by SYNNEX on the latter’s premises. The branded retail space, the very first of its kind in Southeast Asia, occupies a 356 sqm. (3,832 sq.ft.) unit on the third floor and features an immersive shopping environment which focuses on game consoles and game software to meet the needs of existing customers, but also aims to attract new customers by offering a variety of collectible items, including character merchandise, plush and toys, and souvenirs.
Additionally, the Nintendo Authorized Store by SYNNEX features a so-called Experience Zone, where, yes indeed, the die-hard fanbase can indulge in different gaming activities. Mind you, this alluring section is home to a number of trial stations, each featuring a massive 98-inch screen, and offering more than 60 fun games to explore, including iconic series such as Super Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby, and more. As said, there’s also an abundance of merchandise. The expansive retail area is decorated with themes from iconic Nintendo Switch characters, such as Super Mario, Kirby, Pokémon, Pikmin, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon, and this well-stocked nook of the store presents over 350 products, ranging from plush toys and amiibo figurines, to stationery and a wide variety of collectibles. © superfuture
