Music Party KTV is a chain of karaoke establishments with an extensive network of outposts across China. A little while ago, a new format has been launched in Chengdu, one of the country’s first-tier cities, and one with a growing stature as a leading lifestyle hub. Situated at Capital Tianfu, a prestigious office complex in the city’s Hi-Tech Zone, the new outpost occupies a unit of 1,017 sqm. (10,947 sq.ft.) spread over two levels. Designed by local design and branding consultancy Jumgo Creative, the new Music Party KTV venue is specifically concepted to resonate with the sensibilities of the hyper savvy Gen Z demographic, which in China, now more than ever before in history, is driven by an individualistic mindset and choices. Given the branding expertise, the chosen design codes have been meticulously formulated, steering clear from common design codes and focusing instead on a more tantalising visual narrative that incites to explore. This has resulted in redefining existing design elements and blend in western-style elements taken from the entertainment industry, creating highly surreal settings yet with a slight tongue-in-cheek edge at the same time. Next to private karaoke booths, Music Party KTV‘s new outpost has a dance floor with DJ booth.
