Following last year’s launch of the Swatch NEON collection, the Swiss watchmaker continues the revival of 1980s and 1990s debauchery – you know who you are! – with a new iteration, featuring six fun-infused models. The collection is inspired by original Swatch designs, featuring playful and fun design elements that’ll surely resonate with both a young and forward demographic and the die-hard party people who’ve lived the aforementioned party era. Each model boasts strong graphic elements which instantly conjure up ‘that’ vibe. The Swatch NEON Pink Podium, inspired by the Pink Podium model which was first released in 1990, features a watch strap in bright pink, paired with a purple and yellow dial details. The model is also available as SwatchPAY!, enabling an easy payment option.
The Swatch NEON Rider is inspired by the NEO Rider, an iconic 1980s Swatch model. The multi-coloured neon dial features black hour and minute hands and a blue seconds hand in a transparent matte green bio-sourced case with bio-sourced glass. The black strap with multi-coloured neon print, an orange loop and green buckle complete the watch. The Swatch NEON Hot Racer is a retro ultra-slim watch which takes inspiration from a 1980s Swatch collectable: HOT RACER. The vibrant, multi-coloured dial features green hour and minute hands in a transparent shiny bio-sourced case with bio-sourced glass. The transparent matte green bottom strap and blue top strap have multi-coloured print that are complemented by the orange loop and green buckle.
The Swatch NEON Flash Arrow is a neon-coloured chronograph inspired by a 1990s FLASH ARROW model. The multi-coloured dial with tachymeter scale boasts glow-in-the-dark black hour and minute hands, a yellow seconds hand and a day window at 3 o’clock. It has a transparent matte green case with a matching bezel. The structured pink strap is accented with contrasting transparent matte yellow and blue loops and a transparent matte green buckle. The Swatch NEON Wave is a neon-coloured chronograph is inspired by the 1990s model NEO WAVE. The multi-coloured dial with tachymeter scale boasts glow-in-the-dark black hour and minute hands, an orange seconds hand and a day window at 3 o’clock.
It has a transparent matte yellow case with a matching bezel. The structured turquoise strap is accented with contrasting transparent matte yellow and orange loops and a transparent matte blue buckle. Last but not least, there’s the Swatch NEON Jelly, an oversized retro watch inspired by the 1990s JELLY STAG model. Its standout features include a vibrant, multi-coloured dial with tachymeter scale complemented by orange hour and minute hands and a yellow seconds hand with glow-in-the-dark effect. The watch has a matte transparent case and bezel with an orange crown and yellow pushers and detail on the bezel. Completing the design is a matte transparent structured strap with matching loops and a yellow half-buckle. The Swatch NEON collection is available online and at Swatch stores worldwide.
