Perfumer and men’s couturier Marc-Antoine Barrois has stepped up his retail game by opening a flagship store on swanky rue du Fabourg St.-Honoré in Paris. Rubbing shoulders with the boutiques of Bottega Veneta, Moncler, Berluti and Loro Piana, the store enables Barrois, who honed his skills at , to present the full spectrum of his creative output—fragrances, couture, jewellery, and accessories. The boutique sees a renewed collaboration with creative director Antoine Bouillot of design practice Honneur Society, and in fact, combines a retail space, workshop and showroom. Upon entering the premises, shoppers are met by a double-height, 85 mirror-facet wall sculpture on which Barrois has collaborated with artist Le Diamantaire which, and which, in full compliance with the latter’s signature style, explores the infinity and depth of diamonds in an imposing way. The wall sculpture is paired with bespoke display stands by Evolution Bois, featuring a base in carved walnut and a plinth in plane wood, and lastly, backlit alabaster bases on which the Marc-Antoine Barrois fragrances are presented. Another artistic collaboration embedded in the interior design is with French tailored glass work company Grav’Or which used an intricate technique to cover the walls in maple sugar baked onto glass. © superfuture.com
