As one of the most sought-after fashion brands of the moment, Coperni is going leaps and bounds. Following last month’s inauguration of an understated shop-in-shop at Printemps in Paris, an event we’ve covered in a previous post, and two other ones in London and on the Asian resort island of Hainan, the French label has crossed the Big Pond to set up shop in New York City. It’s an ephemeral space, situated on the third floor of Nordstrom, one of the city’s leading luxury department stores, and sees a setting which has been thought out by Coperni‘s co-founder and creative director Sébastien Meyer and Swiss modular furniture brand USM. Double square arches, which incorporate clothing racks, demarcate the pop-up store’s top and lower ends, and even an existing support pillar is clad in USM‘s signature silver tubes and timber panels, flanked by two matching display units. The new Coperni pop-up store carries a selection of the brand’s women’s apparel and bags (open through Nov 5).
