Since opening its doors in 2014, Shanghai-based home decoration and lifestyle emporium IYOUTH has been the go-to address for the city’s most forward consumer demographic. Unsurprisingly, the store carries a wide range of furniture pieces and other designs by more than 60 leading brands from across the planet, including Herman Miller, Vitra, Artifort, Glas Italia, BD Barcelona, TECTA, Driade and Too Good. As a showcase of international design, IYOUTH regularly hosts events, introducing new brands and collections to its following, and currently, it’s hosting the first Kvadrat/Raf Simons pop-up store in this sprawling metropolis. The collaboration between Danish textile brand Kvadrat and Antwerp-based fashion designer Raf Simons is now in its ninth year, and the ephemeral retail space created by IYOUTH features Simons’ recently introduced reinterpretation of the Shaker System. The Kvadrat/Raf Simons collaboration is shifting gear as the unified family of accessories expands into bathing and bathroom (open through Jun 30).
