Its return to fashion’s upper echelon has been evident for a several seasons now, thanks to creative director Jonathan Anderson, and banking on this momentum, LOEWE is also investing heavily in its retail network. The Madrid-based luxury brand opened its first outpost on the U.S. West Coast at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa early last year, but has now gone full throttle with the opening of Casa LOEWE in Beverly Hills. Situated on Rodeo Drive, an iconic address for luxury power shopping, the flagship store stands out with a façade of handmade Spanish ceramic tiles in a striking blue colour. The store measures 3,700 sq.ft. (344 sqm.) and features an interior design created by Anderson which accentuates the brand’s artful approach to fashion.

Mind you, the glazed blue tiles, mimicking clear California skies, extend indoors where they’re paired with tiles in distinctly neutral shades. Rich brown ceramics frame the accessories, while womenswear is displayed against a backdrop of textured white. Menswear brings the space full circle, presented in a sea of blue. Poured concrete floors and grey walls offer a stark contract with the tiles’ glossy appearance and instill a sense of calm in the three interlocking rooms. Brass, mirror and turned iron details bring additional warmth and brightness to the store, and a large ceiling window in the womenswear space allows in floods of natural light. Casa LOEWE is furnished with carefully sourced pieces, most notably several Utrecht armchairs in different shades by Dutch designer Gerrit  Rietveld.

Additionally, the store is adorned by a large woven wool carpet featuring a pattern by British textile artist John Allen, and pieces designed by Belgian interior designer and gallerist Axel Vervoordt. LOEWE‘s long-standing affiliation with the world of art and design is captured by a curated series of artworks that further boost the sophistication of the premises, including an aluminium sculpture and a monochromatic fibre-based print by Iranian-German artist Nairy Baghramian, Paul Pfeiffer‘s painted wood renderings of Justin Bieber’s head and arms, and a series of ceramics by artists Peter Voulkos and Joanna Constantinidis. The newly opened Casa LOEWE carries the brand’s full range of women’s and men’s apparel, accessories, bags, shoes, small leather goods,
