Celebrating the arrival of its colour-infused Women’s Summer 2021 Capsule Collection at de Bijenkorf department store, Amsterdam‘s leading luxury department store, Louis Vuitton has inaugurated a matching pop-up store on the lofty ground floor. The design, created by the luxury behemoth’s in-house design team, is inspired by a summery swimming pool and all the playful fun that comes with it. Two monolithic floor-to-ceiling pillars clad in an undulating shiny blue material that mimics water is paired with flooring covered in an even bolder 3D-printed water motif. Furnishings are sparse yet fully compatible with the pool theme, and include transparent displays with rippling water surfaces, and demarcating the outer limits on one side of the ephemeral store setting, are two clothing racks and a tiered display in a matching blue shade. The Louis Vuitton pop-up store stocks an elaborate range of the capsule collection’s women’s apparel, accessories, shoes, in addition to summery renditions of some of the brand’s most coveted bags, such as the Neverfull, Capucines and Twist (open through Jul 31). The Louis Vuitton pop-up store is part of a series of pool-inspired ephemeral spaces launched across the globe to highlight the aforementioned capsule collection.
