Never before have Louis Vuitton‘s menswear collections been so in-sync with youth culture and all the sensibilities around it, since the tenure of Virgil Abloh. In fact, it’s in full and constant swing, and the latest manifestation of this new direction is the brand’s new pop-up store at home base Paris. The temporary retail space anchors a series of men’s fashion events throughout this month dubbed Louis Vuitton: Walk in the Park which sees both physical and digital experiences, all concepted by Abloh in order to connect with the brand’s sizeable fanbase and leading up to the catwalk presentation of the brand’s Autumn-Winter 2021 Men’s Collection. Situated on the Seine river, directly across from the landmark Pont Neuf, the pop-up store itself is an infusion of colour, oozing the playful and highly savvy focus of its creative director.

So, what’s on offer? Well, lots for the fanbase to swoon over. It’s basically a limited-edition store dedicated to the most iconic sneakers, jewellery pieces and sunglasses created for the fashion house by Abloh. Throughout the pop-up store, designs are colour-coded in the nuances of the rainbow, a nod to the set of Abloh’s debut show for Louis Vuitton for SpringSummer 2019. Additionally, the premises features a Hall of Fame devoted to the five rarest and most exclusive editions of the trademark LV Trainer first introduced for Spring-Summer 2019 as well as broader retrospective of the LV Trainer through the seasons, marking a rare opportunity for collectors.

For a limited time, the latest LV Trainer Upcycling from the Spring-Summer 2021 collection is available to purchase in five new collectible colourways, including an exclusive Paris colourway issued in a total of 95 pairs, and the the LV Ollie sneaker from the Spring-Summer 2021 collection will be on display in six colourways along with jewellery and sunglasses from the collection. And that’s not all. The Cuban chains and 1.1 Millionaires sunglasses adapted to each collection are not only put on display, but are also readily available for purchase. Meanwhile, at the Louis Vuitton Maison, situated a stone’s throw away on place Vendôme, an augmented reality experience developed by Abloh for the Louis Vuitton app, allows you to interact with Zooom with friends and its characters (pop-up store is open through Jan 31).
