Supreme has opened its eagerly anticipated second outpost on the U.S. West Coast. Situated in a voluminous hangar-like building on Market Street in San Francisco which was originally built in 1915, the retail space very much resembles the brand’ retail space in Brooklyn which opened two years ago. The store’s dimensions are accordingly, being approx. 5,000 sq.ft. (465 sqm.), and it features an interior which is design defined by with large steel beams, exposed brick walls, a front wall plastered in artworks, concrete flooring, and last but certainly not least, a suspended wooden skate bowl as the ultimate prop. The store also features a number of colourful, life-size statues by skateboard icon Mark Gonzales and a pair of monolithic black benches.

The new Supreme store carries the brand’s full range of apparel, accessories, shoes, bags, and of course, skateboards. The store opening coincides with the release of its collaborative collections with Levi’s and Clarks which will also be available here. Since private equity firm The Carlyle Group snapped up half of the company in 2018, Supreme is once again expanding its brick and mortar presence in key cities, and it’s expected that additional retail spaces will open in the Far East and Europe in the very near future. If you ask us, Seoul, Shanghai – especially since the brand regained trademark rights from a shady company which even opened a much-publicised flagship store there last May – Berlin and Milan are the top contenders.
