Although already well-represented in the popular Marais shopping district in Paris, fashion brand A.P.C. sees room for further growth and has opened a third outpost on rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth. The boutique occupies a ground floor corner unit of a six-storey residential structure built in 1830, and features an interior design by French architect and longtime collaborator Laurent Deroo. The A.P.C. brand is known for its design-led boutiques, steering clear from a generic retail aesthetic, and this one is no exception. The premises, previously occupied by a neighbourhood café, have been fully revamped and merged with a smaller adjacent space. A new modern façade conceals the former division and seamlessly matches the interior design.

A palette of soft greys and soft yellow is captured by floors walls and fixtures, oozing an understated yet friendly simplicity. Upon entering the store, customers encounter a three-tiered shelving unit laden with bags, shoes and accessories, while additional recessed shelving is situated on both sides of the door. At one end the sales counter can be found, directly opposite comfy modular seating and the fitting rooms which seem to have been inspired by Japanese paper screen doors. The opposite end is in fact the men’s domain, and features similar seating surrounded by shelving and clothing racks in front of a large window. The new A.P.C. store carries the brand’s full range of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, shoes, and bags.
