As one of the few Korean fashion brands that has successfully entered markets overseas, Anderson Bell obviously has the solid following on home turf which enabled its continuous expansion. Founded only in 2014, the company launched its first flagship store in the leafy Cheongdam area of Seoul in 2017, and now, only three years later, the retail space has been given a major makeover. Anderson Bell once again tapped Korean practice Studio Unravel to create a fitting interior design, and it’s a logical choice as the new setting looks like a seamless continuation. The store is situated at the brand’s headquarters, but moved from the ground floor to the second floor, occupying a larger 142 sqm. (1,529 sq.ft.) space which was previously used as an office.

The floor has been completely stripped, laying bare the very core of the modern structure, and interestingly, elements of what has been exposed are integrated in the new design. The chosen palette is understated and seamlessly adapts to the concrete shell, and includes brushed stainless steel, steel plate, mirrored glass and concrete. Visually, the retail space is made up of a sophisticated interplay of lines and planes, and the semi-exposed ceiling and linear light fixtures contribute a great deal to this graphic dynamic. Furnishings are sparse, and include black, installation-like clothing racks combined with shelving and more intricately designed clothing racks of galvanised steel. The renewed Anderson Bell store carries the full range of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories and shoes.
