Unsurprisingly, Hong Kong has just snatched the record for having the most standalone Off-White stores on the planet. Hot on the heels of a store opening at K11 Musea, the hugely popular streetwear brand launches yet another outpost, it’s fourth in the city, only a few blocks away at Harbour City, a prominent mall situated smack on Victoria Harbour. Once again, it’s a retail space managed by I.T, one of the Hong Kong‘s leading retail companies, and the boutique occupies a 143 sqm. (1,539 sq.ft.) unit on the ground floor of the mall’s Gateway Arcade section. The store interior is constructed with lava stone walls and counters which aims to ooze the vibe of a cave, and offering a stark contrast is a glossy white marble floor and grey marble shelving. The sales counter comes in a bar-shape replete with metal stools, and simultaneously serves as a display for small leather goods, bags and accessories. Stainless steel furniture pieces and sleek steel clothing racks adorn the room as a classic, yet staple piece native to the brand. The new Off-White store carries the brand’s full range of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, bags and shoes.

Just to be clear – superfuture® is a design blog and not a political commentator. No surprise there. The scope of our content has always been global and borderless, however that can often mean covering projects in countries where we will not agree with the politics or actions of those countries. In a world that’s as screwed up as ever right now, the focus of our support is to those designers, architects and other creatives who aim to make the world a more liveable one – as opposed to people that try their hardest to destroy it. So if a project hits our desk and we like it based on its design credentials, we may choose to publish regardless of its location or creators nationality. superfuture® has always been inclusive and hopes for all current wars, aggression, violence, hate and extremism to end.
