A longtime fave of Hong Kong‘s fashion-forward crowd, Maison Margiela has been serving this discerning demographic with two boutiques dedicated to its main line and MM6 women’s diffusion line, and both situated at Harbour City mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. Well, the Paris-based fashion house has just upped the ante by crossing Victoria Harbour to open a pop-up store at The Landmark, a plush mall in Central teeming with luxury boutiques, and this outpost is entirely dedicated to the brand’s men’s collections. The interior design takes cues from Maison Margiela‘s iconic S/S 2013 Collection while also reflecting its signature elements of deconstruction and minimalism. The result is a whitewashed retail space with specific furnishings and displays wrapped in white plastic, paired with contrasting sleek white shelving, clothings racks and chandeliers. As said, the Maison Margiela pop-up store exclusively carries the brand’s men’s collection, and presents apparel items, shoes, accessories and fragrances. In celebration of the pop-up store opening, Maison Margiela‘s graffiti tabi boots from its A/W 2019 Collection are exclusively available here in black and white. The store opening party was held earlier this week, and was attended by Maison Margiela CEO Giovanni Pungetti and a slew of A-listers from the local fashion, music and lifestyle scenes.
