When it comes to luxury lodgings in Paris, the options are sheer endless. In fact, in recent years, those who love living large, have seen a dramatic increase in upscale hotels, and the latest property to have opened its doors the upper segment is the elegant Hôtel Hana. A member of Adresses Hotels, a collection of hotels in the French capital and on the French Riviera, this five-star property is conveniently situated in the heart of the city, between the majestic Opéra Garnier and Place de la Bourse. The interior design of Hôtel Hana is a collaborative effort of architect and interior designer Laura Gonzalez and Olivier Leone, a recognised artistic director in the world of fashion, and the result is an exquisite refuge amidst the city’s hustle and bustle. The hotel is a sophisticated rendezvous of sorts between the worlds of Belle Époque exuberance and Japanese minimalism, and it shows in each setting across the premises. Each of the 26 rooms, including a suite, has been meticulously designed, and unsurprisingly, even Feng Shui has been applied, courtesy of certified master Hélène Weber.

The settings of the rooms, which come in four categories, see an infusion of iroko wood, straw coverings, carpets by Marguérite Lemaire and bi-coloured marble in the bathrooms. Needless to say, this carefully constructed hospitality savoir-vivre extends seamlessly to the gastronomic domain with Hanabi, the bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Here, the Belle Époque and Zen are fused into culinary haven with equally exquisite settings and a matching menu supervised by Shirley Garrier, co-founder of The Social Food. French culinary classics are creatively ‘Japanised,’ enriched with unforgettable tastes and textures. Gourmets can explore this original menu, which lists delicacies, such as Ochazuke rice soup dipped in a Dashi and tea broth, a pot-au-feu cooked in a Mushi nabe, and a Chirashi of fish and crustaceans caught on the French coasts. Indeed, life is good at Hôtel Hana, and to keep things balanced, a full-fledged wellness facility with swimming pool is readily available on the premises. Set up in partnership with health spa Lymfea, it offers treatments such as reiki, kobido and reflexology-drainage, all with a Japanese touch. © superfuture.com
