Founded only in 2017 by Henrik Berg, a Stockholm-based entrepreneur with a mixed Swedish-Spanish heritage, men’s shoe brand MORJAS has gone leaps and bounds. Following successful online sales, the retailer entered the Swedish capital’s retail arena with a brick-and-mortar store. Aptly called Casa MORJAS, the retail space occupies a 92 sqm. (990 sq.ft.) unit on the ground floor of a 19th-century residential building, featuring a collaborative interior design by Berg and architect Victor Ingmo Magnergård of local practice IMDA Studio. The design codes, inspired by MORJAS‘ Swedish-Spanish roots, sees a range of warm natural materials, including travertine flooring, lacquered mahogany panels, and custom-designed furniture captured in stone, wood, and wrought iron. Adding a lifestyle element to the retail space is a full-fledged café,  at the back of the store, serving coffee, other beverages and tapas. Interestingly, along with the new retail space, the branding has been revamped. The newly opened Casa MORJAS carries the brand’s full range of handmade men’s shoes and boots.
