In South Korea, the good life extends to the far corners of the country, including the city of Gimhae. Now gobbled up by the ever-expanding metropolitan area of Busan, the country’s second largest city, its infrastructure has gone leaps and bounds, featuring an increasing number of places where to sit back and indulge oneself and the entire family. In the latter category falls Good & Goody, an all-day brunch café concept. Occupying no less than 255 sqm. (2,745 sq.ft.) spread across two floors of a modern building, the café is almost equally divided between an indoor and outdoor space. The indoor area is anchored by a voluminous hall where the building’s concrete shell has been dipped in a crisp mint shade, serving as a contrasting backdrop for two large volumes, each clad in terracotta brick tiles, featuring recessed shelving, while one also accommodates a full-fledged kitchen unit.

A circular communal table with a matching terracotta brick tile base sits nearby and comes with pendant ring lamp in a, yes indeed, terracotta hue. The upper floor features a similar mint backdrop, but here, it’s paired with low benches and flooring entirely covered in terracotta brick tiles. Additional furnishings comprise both small and larger communal tables and two types of chairs, all crafted from untreated timber. Good & Goody also boasts a number of furnished outdoor terraces on both floors. The menu at Good & Goody features just about any dish you’d expect from a brunch café, ranging from toasted bread with various toppings and sandwiches, to an abundance of cakes and pastries, all paired with various coffee concoctions, teas and other non-alcoholic beverages.
