The AMBUSH pop-up series continues, and this time, it’s in Los Angeles where the Tokyo-based brand has temporarily set up shop. Occupying a designated space within Terminal 27, arguably one of the city’s leading depositories of fashion-forward labels, the setting is designed by the brand’s in-house design team and sees walls and carpeting dipped in last season’s break-out colour: hot pink. Two magnified shiny AMBUSH pill charms take centre stage, an obvious nod to the brand’s jewellery collection, of which one serves as a display cabinet, while sturdy black metal clothing racks line the walls. The AMBUSH pop-up store stocks items from its S/S 2023 Collection which is not only inspired by co-founder Yoon Ahn‘s love of the Japanese capital’s thriving club culture, but also the eclectic aesthetic of rave scene fashion. Needless to say, the collection is an investigation of free-spirited clubbing style. Additionally, the ephemeral retail space features an exclusive AMBUSH x Terminal 27 collaborative NFT produced by the store’s affiliated disruptive web3 studio Gasoline in a series of 85, and each will allow the owner to claim an exclusive AMBUSH x Terminal 27 teddy bear (open through Jun 25).
