For the coming holiday season popular Chinese streetwear brand Melting Sadness will release a new limited edition capsule collection created in collaboration with artists Jiaqiu and Jianjian Cui. Loosely themed Jungle Meeting, items features foresty elements, such wild animals, but mixed and matched with classic Christmas iconography. Mind you, in addition to the crystal balls, mugs, and sweaters which were included in past releases, a special range of products has been added, including woven handbags, fire flower pots, and knitted flying caps. Needless to say, the entire holiday collection oozes a warm and comfy vibe. The capsule collection will officially go on sale at select offline stores and online at WeChat‘s Mini Programme on Sun – Dec 12 at midnight. Additionally, there’s also a related offline event as Melting Sadness‘ bunny character Karoro has organised a stamp collecting event at the Shanghai store of affiliated brand Randomevent. Simply follow the instructions to get stamps to win winter gifts. For more information, please follow any of the brand’s social media channels.

Publishers Note
Just to be clear – superfuture® is a design blog and not a political commentator. No surprise there. The scope of our content has always been global and borderless, however that can often mean covering projects in countries where we will not agree with the politics or actions of those countries. In a world that’s as screwed up as ever right now, the focus of our support is to those designers, architects and other creatives who aim to make the world a more liveable one – as opposed to people that try their hardest to destroy it. So if a project hits our desk and we like it based on its design credentials, we may choose to publish regardless of its location or creators nationality. superfuture® has always been inclusive and hopes for all current wars, aggression, violence, hate and extremism to end.
