As one of Southeast Asia‘s leading hubs of luxury shopping, top segment brands go the extra yard to raise their profile in Bangkok. Following two boutiques on the premises of high-end shopping centres, Le Labo has recently inaugurated a street side store in the city’s increasingly fashionable Ari neighbourhood. Occupying a corner unit on the premises of an existing low-rise building, the retail space has been redeveloped and designed by Le Labo‘s in-house design team. And similar to all other Le Labo retail spaces, the chosen aesthetic intentionally reflects the neighbourhood’s character and vibe. Designed with Wabi Sabi in mind, the Japanese design philosophy that’s wholeheartedly embraced by the fragrance brand, the setting’s chosen aesthetic oozes the beauty of imperfection.

The space features ashy red walls, the original hue of the building’s façade, paired with an interior in light grey and wood tones. At the heart of the boutique, in a glass-encased mini patio, stands a Grevillea tree which allows in floods of natural light. Furnishings and fixtures comprise sourced vintage pieces, notably two wooden display tables, and custom-made shelving units, wall-mounted shelving, and a counter and cabinet. The new Le Labo store carries a curated selection of the brand’s handcrafted creations, including classic collection fragrances, classic collection ancillaries, scented candles and room spray, and care products for face, body and hair. Additionally, shoppers can personalise their purchases with custom labels for fragrances and candles, allowing up to 23 characters. © superfuture
