It’s a place that instantly conjures up vibrant images of Gay Paree in its most decadent form, and yes, now you can let your hair down here as well. We’re talking La galerie Bourbon, the sumptuous 19th-century former abode of Princess Marie Isabelle d’Orléans y Borbón (1848-1919) in what’s known as the swankiest of arrondissements in Paris. The ornate architectural gem, now managed as a venue for exclusive events by hospitality entrepreneurs Benjamin Patou and Gregory Lentz of the MOMA Group, is situated a stone’s throw away from the iconic Arc de Triomphe, and it’s readily available for high-profile events and exclusive private parties. The premises of La galerie Bourbon ooze the unapologetic grandeur from a bygone era which is blatantly present in a myriad of opulent details, ranging from crystal chandeliers and ceilings covered in gold leaf, to gilded mouldings and original parquet flooring.

The interior design, created by Paris-based interior designer Axel Huynh, obviously makes use of the historic splendour, but also sees various black and whire Op Art-inspired tweaks captured by furnishings, carpets and decorative objects. The light-filled gallery which connects all spaces is adorned by ornate crystal chandeliers and leads to a smoking room and bar which aptly takes cues from a gentleman’s club, featuring tufted Chesterfield furnishings, trunks and vintage cartography. But La galerie Bourbon‘s undisputed pull factor are its two opulent lounges readily available for the grandest of gatherings. The latter spaces can accommodate up to 400 guests for a cocktail event, 200 guests for a seated dinner event, and 120 guests for a conference. La galerie Bourbon has teamed up with Kaspia Réceptions, an affiliated top-rated caterer, as culinary partner for all of its events. The venue measures a total of 320 sqm. (3,445 sq.ft.)
